Yellowstone Roughriders has been operating horseback rides in Yellowstone Park since the 1980s. In 2019, Billie Taylor purchased the company, allowing YR to continue the tradition of helping adventurers, tourists, and explorers experience the best that Yellowstone National Park has to offer... from the back of a horse. With an extremely limited number of commercial outfitters able to take riders into Yellowstone Park, Yellowstone Roughriders is in an elite category.
Yellowstone Roughriders is female owned and family operated. YR works closely with friends, family, National Park Service, and the gateway community of Gardiner, Montana to bring the most authentic Yellowstone National Park horseback riding experience to travelers from all over the globe.
Yellowstone Roughriders is not a large horse riding operation. We are small enough to customize horseback rides for individual clients, and take pride in our connection to our animals, riders, and the community. We offer the highest level of hospitality and customer service, and cater to all levels of riding and experience, whether you grew up chasing cattle or have never been on the back of a horse. We are passionate about Yellowstone National Park, our horses, and sharing this experience.
Yellowstone Roughriders offer half day and full day horseback rides, plus overnight pack trips throughout Yellowstone’s backcountry.
